Mid Ulster District Council is inviting tenders from suitably experienced and licensed contractors to collect, treat and recycle/recover residual waste deposited at its various Recycling Centres (civic amenity sites) located throughout the district for a period of up to three and a half years. The Council currently operates twelve Recycling Centres (Civic Amenity Sites) Fort the purposes of this tender the sites located in the former Magherafelt District will form Lot 1 and those in the former Cooksown District Lot 2. Sites located in the former Dungannon and South Tyrone Borough will form a third (optional Lot) however Lot 3 will only be awarded from 2017/18 onwards subject to budget. The approximate annual tonnages of residual waste in each lot is:- Lot 1 2 200 tonnes (approximate Annual Tonnage - not guaranteed; Lot 2:- 2 400 tonnes (approximate Annual Tonnage - not guaranteed; Lot 3 (optional) 3 700 tonnes (Approximately Annual Tonnage - not guaranteed.

Description of particular conditions: Recycling Rate
Tenderers must be able to achieve a minimum of 15 % recycling rate by weight.
Failure to achieve the minimum recycling rate in any two months (either consecutive or non-consecutive) may result in termination of the contract.
Diversion Rate
Tenderers must be able to achieve the minimum Landfill Diversion of 65 %. For avoidance of doubt the 65 % landfill diversion includes recycling; (50 % diversion + 15 % recycling = 65 %)
Failure to achieve the minimum landfill diversion of 65 % in any two months (either consecutive or non-consecutive) may result in termination of the contract.
